Cards for Shane

I copied this post from Nicole's Blog at CompuPro Scrapbooking who in turn copied it from another. I just had to pass it on. Now, it says that Nicole will send a group of cards off on March 5th so if anyone can get their sweetness flowing and drop off a card to Nicole at the store or I could drop them to her, that would be great. However, if you feel that March 5th is too soon, I will be glad to send off an envie by March 31st.

Cards for Shane
I read this on Karens Blog / Myleta her Mommas Blog....If you haven't heard about this (it is now on several websites, BT and a radio station) then let me tell you about something we can all do. Here is the radios website http://www.1053kissfm.com/station_info/cartersandraboyle.jspVery Touching indeed!!A little boy age seven named Shane has leukemia and his dying wish is to be in the guiness world book of records for receiving the most birthday cards. His birthday is May 30th but he would like to receive these cards before his birthday.I think we can make this happen for this little boy!!

His address:Shane Bernier PO Box 484 Landcaster, ON K0C 1N0
I encourage all you scappers and card makers to make a card; put a smile on this little guys face and pay it forward. Get your children involved have them make cards!Okay, lets see - how about this - if you would like to drop the cards off at the store I will mail them all off at once. First Mail Out will be Monday March 5th.

Pink and Brown

The colors, Pink and Brown, have become a couple of my favorite colors. On their own they are not my first choices when making a card, but put them together an that just makes my day. From clean cut to shabby chic, they fit into all styles. Here are a couple of samples that we worked on for a swap we are in. Enjoy!

Eleanor created this one using the following supplies:

Stamps: Paisley Background, Very Punny
Cardstock and Inks: Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip

Embellishments: Ribbon (NVR)

She and I were both Tickled Pink when she completed it. What do you think?

This is my creation using the following products:

Stamps: Itty Bitty Borders, Warmest Regards, Fresh Fillers

Inks and Cardstock: Pixie Pink, Close to Cocoa, Very Vanilla
Embellishments: Iridescent Ice, Gingham Ribbon

So does this get your PINK and BROWN honey flowing??

OK, here is your challenge....dig out your pink and brown and send me a picture of your card and I'll post it on our blog.
